About
Ox Belfast
"Michelin-starred dining on the banks of the River Lagan, where seasonal Irish ingredients meet modern European creativity."
Founded in 2013 by chef Stephen Toman and sommelier Alain Kerloc'h, OX Belfast was created from a shared vision to bring a fresh and contemporary approach to fine dining in Northern Ireland. Having met while working in Paris, the pair combined their experience and passion for hospitality to establish a restaurant that would quickly become one of Belfast's most acclaimed dining destinations.
Located on Oxford Street overlooking the River Lagan, OX is renowned for its seasonal tasting menus that celebrate the very best ingredients available throughout the year. The restaurant works closely with local farmers, fishermen and artisan producers, allowing the kitchen to showcase produce at its peak while maintaining a strong connection to place and seasonality.
Awarded a Michelin Star in 2016 and retaining it ever since, OX has earned a reputation for refined yet approachable dining. Guests experience thoughtfully crafted menus where vegetables, seafood and locally sourced meats are treated with equal care and creativity. The restaurant's minimalist riverside setting allows the food and hospitality to take centre stage, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and welcoming.
Today, OX continues to attract visitors from across Ireland and beyond, offering one of the most celebrated dining experiences on the island while remaining firmly rooted in Belfast's evolving food culture.
"One of Ireland's most celebrated Michelin-starred restaurants, offering seasonal tasting menus and exceptional hospitality overlooking Belfast's River Lagan."
