W.ie Website Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 June 2026

W.ie is a curated promotional and discovery platform. It is not the provider, seller, booking agent or guarantor of the businesses, events, goods or services featured.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of W.ie and any associated pages, services, search tools, content and communications.

By using W.ie, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. About W.ie

W.ie is operated by:

[FULL COMPANY NAME] LIMITED
Trading as: W.ie
Company number: [NUMBER]
Registered office: [ADDRESS]
Email: hello@w.ie

In these Terms, “W.ie”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the company named above.

2. What W.ie provides

W.ie is a curated discovery and promotional platform featuring selected independent businesses, shops, accommodation, restaurants, experiences, events and places across Ireland.

W.ie helps users discover businesses and opportunities. Unless expressly stated otherwise, W.ie:

  • does not own, operate or control listed businesses;
  • does not provide the goods, accommodation, food, experiences or events promoted;
  • does not act as an agent for a listed business or website visitor;
  • does not normally take bookings or payments on behalf of listed businesses; and
  • is not a party to any contract entered into between a visitor and a listed business.

Any enquiry, booking, purchase or other arrangement made with a listed business is made directly between you and that business and is subject to that business’s own terms and policies.

3. Curated inclusion

W.ie is a curated platform rather than an open directory.

We decide which businesses, places and events are suitable for inclusion. Inclusion on W.ie does not constitute a legal, financial, safety or professional endorsement, certification or guarantee.

We may add, decline, edit, categorise, reposition, suspend or remove content at our editorial discretion, subject to any separate paid-listing agreement.

4. Listing information

We aim to present accurate and useful information. However, information may be:

  • supplied by the listed business;
  • obtained from publicly available sources;
  • compiled or edited by W.ie;
  • generated or assisted by digital or artificial-intelligence tools; or
  • changed by a business after publication.

Opening hours, prices, menus, availability, accessibility, facilities, event details and other information may change without notice.

You should confirm important details directly with the relevant business before travelling, booking or purchasing.

5. Maps and location information

Maps, directions, distances, postcodes, Eircodes, geolocation information and county classifications are provided for convenience.

They may be supplied by external mapping services and should not be relied upon as the sole source of navigation, safety or accessibility information.

6. Events

Event information may be changed, postponed or cancelled by the organiser.

W.ie is not responsible for:

  • event cancellation or rescheduling;
  • refusal of admission;
  • ticket availability or validity;
  • performer or programme changes;
  • travel or accommodation expenses;
  • event safety, licensing or accessibility; or
  • refunds due from an organiser or ticket provider.

Visitors should verify event details with the organiser before attending.

7. External websites

W.ie contains links to third-party websites and services.

We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their:

  • content;
  • availability;
  • security;
  • privacy practices;
  • prices;
  • products or services; or
  • terms and conditions.

The inclusion of a link does not mean that W.ie accepts responsibility for the linked website.

8. User conduct

You must not use W.ie:

  • unlawfully or fraudulently;
  • to distribute malware or harmful code;
  • to gain unauthorised access to W.ie or another system;
  • to scrape, harvest or systematically copy W.ie content without permission;
  • to impersonate another person or business;
  • to submit false, misleading, defamatory or infringing information;
  • to interfere with the website’s security or operation; or
  • in a manner that damages W.ie, its users or listed businesses.

9. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, W.ie owns or licenses the website design, branding, text, illustrations, graphics, database structure, category system and original content appearing on W.ie.

“W.ie”, the W logo and associated visual assets may be trademarks or trading identifiers of W.ie.

You may view and share links to publicly accessible pages for personal and legitimate business purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, commercially exploit or create a competing database from W.ie content without written permission.

Logos, photographs and other materials belonging to listed businesses remain the property of their respective owners or licensors.

10. Availability of W.ie

We do not guarantee that W.ie will always be:

  • available;
  • uninterrupted;
  • secure;
  • free of errors; or
  • compatible with every device or browser.

We may modify, restrict, suspend or withdraw all or part of the website when reasonably necessary.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the above, W.ie is not responsible for loss or damage arising from:

  • reliance on inaccurate or outdated listing information;
  • dealings with a listed business;
  • the quality, safety or legality of third-party products or services;
  • cancelled events or bookings;
  • third-party websites;
  • website interruption;
  • viruses or harmful third-party activity; or
  • indirect, consequential or purely economic losses.

Consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms to reflect legal, operational or service changes.

The updated version will be published on W.ie with a revised “last updated” date. Material changes affecting paid business customers will be handled in accordance with the applicable listing agreement.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.

The courts of Northern Ireland will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives an individual the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
