W.ie Event Listing Terms
These Terms apply to organisers submitting or purchasing promotion for an event.
1. Organiser authority
The person submitting an event confirms that they:
- are the organiser or are authorised by the organiser;
- have authority to supply the event information and materials;
- have obtained all necessary permissions; and
- accept these Terms on behalf of the organiser.
2. Event information
The organiser is responsible for the accuracy of:
- event name;
- dates and times;
- venue;
- location;
- ticket price;
- booking links;
- age restrictions;
- accessibility;
- parking;
- dog-friendly status;
- cancellation arrangements; and
- organiser contact details.
3. Approval
All events are subject to W.ie approval.
W.ie may decline events that are:
- unlawful;
- political-party campaigning;
- discriminatory;
- misleading;
- unsafe;
- inappropriate for W.ie’s audience;
- missing important information;
- infringing;
- primarily designed to collect personal data improperly; or
- otherwise inconsistent with W.ie’s editorial standards.
4. Publication period
An event may be published until its stated end date and may then be automatically removed, archived or changed to draft status.
The organiser should notify W.ie immediately if an event is cancelled, postponed, sold out or materially changed.
5. Tickets and bookings
W.ie is not the ticket seller or event provider unless expressly stated otherwise.
Ticket purchases and bookings are made with the organiser or linked ticketing provider. The organiser is responsible for admissions, cancellations, refunds and customer support.
6. Fees
Event-listing fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed.
Publication is a promotional service. Payment does not guarantee attendance, ticket sales, media coverage or search-engine position.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Where an organiser cancels an event after its listing has been published, the listing fee is normally non-refundable because the promotional service has begun.
W.ie may, at its discretion, transfer the unused promotional period to a rescheduled date.
If W.ie declines a paid submission before publication, the event-listing fee will normally be refunded.
8. Promotion licence
The organiser grants W.ie permission to use supplied event names, descriptions, logos, posters, photographs and related materials to publish and promote the event.
9. Organiser responsibility
The organiser remains responsible for:
- licences and permits;
- venue permissions;
- insurance;
- health and safety;
- safeguarding;
- ticketing;
- refunds;
- performer rights;
- music and image licences;
- accessibility information;
- food and alcohol requirements; and
- legal compliance.
10. Limitation
W.ie is not responsible for event cancellation, losses incurred by attendees, ticket disputes, injuries, venue issues or inaccurate organiser-supplied information.
