NearyNógs Stoneground Chocolate is Northern Ireland’s first bean-to-bar craft chocolate maker and one of Ireland’s oldest, established in 2011. Based between the Mourne Mountains and the Irish Sea, the family business hand-sorts, roasts, stone-grinds, ages and tempers cacao into small-batch chocolate bars, truffles, drinking chocolate, fudge and gifts.

Their story is particularly strong for W.ie: the business began as a family fundraiser and grew into a craft chocolate company with a clear ethical and sustainable approach. They source single-origin cacao from regions including Central America, South America, the Caribbean, West Africa and Asia, with an emphasis on direct trade where possible and paying above market value to support cacao farmers.

NearyNógs also offers guided chocolate tours, tasting sessions and workshops, giving visitors the chance to see the bean-to-bar process and taste chocolate along the way. Their Master Craft Chocolate Experience is listed by local tourism sources as an 85-minute tour in Kilkeel, with on-site parking and accessibility noted.
