Louis Copeland & Sons is one of Ireland’s best-known independent menswear and tailoring businesses. Its family story can be traced to Hyman Copeland, a trouser maker who established a workshop on Capel Street in the early 1900s. His son Louis later took over the family business and placed the Louis Copeland & Sons name above the door in 1933.

Today, the fourth-generation family business brings together traditional tailoring knowledge, personal service and contemporary menswear. Its collections range from suits, blazers and formal shirts to knitwear, outerwear, jeans, casual clothing, footwear and accessories, alongside carefully selected international labels and the company’s own Louis Copeland range.

Made-to-measure remains central to the experience. Customers can work with a tailoring specialist to select the fabric, cut, lining, buttons and personal details for a suit, jacket, trousers or shirt made to their individual measurements. Louis Copeland is also particularly known for wedding dressing, helping grooms, groomsmen and families choose ready-to-wear or made-to-measure clothing for the occasion.
